Senior Architectural Technician – Revit

Sustained impressive growth means they are adding an additional Senior Architectural Technician to their team. Our client is looking for their new team member to have specific experience working through buildability issues on site and any experience in the automotive showrooms/hospitality and or education sectors would be highly regarded. They are looking for a Revit specialist with seniority in drafting capability rather than team leadership. The Senior technician will proactively spearhead complex projects to assist the National Design Manager with workflow and alleviate pressure on the wider drafting team. Known for building strong relationships on-site, our clients value strong communication skills and a down to earth, solution-focused attitude, so on-site experience and a strong autonomous work ethic is a must.
Ideally you will have some experience as a senior designer and/or drafter with Revit heavy drafting capabilities and experience working with and in front of builders on site. An easy nature and the ability to get the job done with humility and a good sense of humour will see you fit in well with your new team.

Core Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the National Drafting Manager
- Lead the development of the master project Revit model with all external consultants and designers as necessary
- Proactively consider buildability and budget based value opportunities
- Contribute to the ongoing internal development of the Design department and BIM management
- Provide mentorship for development of upcoming staff
- Provide Senior Revit leadership for building projects
- Proactively participate in the autonomous management of project delivery
- Provide drafting support and leadership with on-site building teams
- Proactively participate to support wider project requirements for the design and drafting team
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
- Experience in Senior design role highly valued
- Strong understanding of the buildability of your design
